自問自答を繰り返すスバルに対し、助け舟を出すオットー。彼の想いが届いたスバルは、再び立ち上がりオットーを協力者として動き始めました。オットー！！いつも気弱なキャラクターな分、凛々しい時のギャップヤバいですね……！かっこいい！
スバルは三日後に迫る悪夢のような日を切り抜けるため、様々な人物と接触します。そしてスバルはついに、エミリアを苦しめる過去に触れました。とうとうエミリアの過去が！氷漬けと言っていましたが、一体どれほどの時間そうだったのでしょう……。リューズさんの名前についてもようやく触れられましたね！
スバルの行動をきっかけにして、パックがエミリアのもとを去っていきます。翌日、リューズを探すガーフィールの前に現れたのは、スバルに力を貸すオットーでした。パック……どうして……！今まで何故出てこなかったのかとか、スバルと何を喋ったのかなど気になるところが多いです！そして最後はオットー自信満々でしたが……大丈夫なのか……？

人以外の生き物たちと会話をすることができる恩寵、言霊の加護を持って生まれたオットー・スーウェンの人生はまさに波瀾万丈と呼ぶにふさわしいものだった。能力によって故郷を追われ、行商人として独り立ちしてからは魔女教に襲われ、スバルと出会い、そして今もまた文字とおり命懸けの鬼ごっこの真っ最中。オットーは与えられた役割を果たすため、ガーフィールの猛攻をかわしながら、必死に時間を稼ぐ。

ガーフィールと対峙するオットーは、事前に用意していた罠を使って時間稼ぎを始めます。オットーの持つ言霊の加護は、彼に壮絶な人生を歩ませた原因でした。オットーの過去、中々の壮絶さでしたね……。スバルの行動がオットーを助け、そのオットーが今スバルを助けようと動いてくれている、エモいと言う他ありません……！
言霊の加護を活用しガーフィールから逃げるも、オットーは追い詰められます。ラムも独自の考えでオットーに助力しますが、ガーフィールは有する獣の力を解放しました。ラムもなんだかんだスバルのことを信用しているのがよく伝わってきました！獣状態のガーフの強さはよく分かっていますが、どう切り抜けるのか……！
オットーたちが時間を稼ぐ中、スバルはエミリアのもとに駆け付けます。心を乱しているエミリアのため、スバルは自らの想いを真っ向からぶつけました。演出がとにかく素晴らしかったです……！感動しました！以前のスバルなら逃げだしてもおかしくないようなエミリアの状態だったと思いますが、死に戻りの中で成長しているのを実感します……！
特殊EDがかなり印象的でした……！

ガーフィールと対峙したオットーは、スバルのための時間稼ぎを開始します。落とし穴に落ちたガーフィールを待ち受けていたのは、オットーの言霊の加護によって動いた虫たちでした。言霊の加護すごいですね……！そして殴られ際にガーフから輝石を奪っているあたり、オットー意外に運動神経良いのでしょうか……？
ガーフィールから輝石を奪い取ったオットーは、距離を取りながら自らの過去に想いを馳せます。それは、言霊の加護によって自身に降りかかった悲劇の記憶でした。最初は制御出来なかったんですね……。家族に恵まれていて本当に良かったです……！
言霊の加護により、オットーは様々な悲しみを経験します。しかし、その中でオットーは成長の機会を手にし、スバルとの出会いを果たすこととなりました。行商人になったのにはそんな訳が！1期の終盤で再登場した裏には、オットーの涙が隠れていたんですね……！
スバルの味方になってくれて、本当にありがとう……！
時間稼ぎの果てに

そうしてオットーはスバルの友として、彼のための時間稼ぎを続けます。しかし、強靭な肉体を持つガーフィールは、あっという間にオットーを追い詰めました。かなり備えていたオットーを、圧倒的フィジカルで打ち砕いていくガーフが強すぎる……！
絶体絶命かと思われますが、そこにラムが現れます。彼女は独自の考えでスバルとオットーに力を貸し、ガーフィールに攻撃を仕掛けました。ラムがなんだかんだと言いつつ、きちんとスバルのことを信頼しているのが素晴らしい……！死に戻りを知らない人から見たスバルって、そういう認識なのかとも感じました！
ラムが現れたことで、ガーフィールは力を解き放ちます。獣の姿へと変化したガーフィールは、自らを追い詰める二人への反撃を開始しました。ラム、強いっ！しかしガーフの方が一枚上手のようですかね……？本気のガーフの強さは身に染みていますが、どう切り抜けるのでしょうか……。

オットーたちが時間を稼ぐ中、スバルは神殿に隠れていたエミリアの前にやって来ます。スバルはエミリアにいつものように優しい言葉を掛けますが、彼女はそのことへの疑問を投げかけました。エミリアも大変に抱え込んでいますね……。見た目よりも年齢が下だというのがしっくりきます……。
思うがまま言葉を掛け合うスバルとエミリア。どうしても納得しようとしないエミリアに、スバルは自らが彼女に抱く愛を真っすぐに伝えました。スバルのブレなさすごいですよね……！スバルの瞳にエミリアが、エミリアだけが映し出されるのとても良い演出だと思いました！母親カットインは泣いてしまいます……！
そしてスバルは、エミリアの唇に自らのそれを重ねます。エミリアの乱れていた心は落ち着きを取り戻し、神殿の外に出たスバルの前には傷を負ったガーフィールが立っていました。エミリアの瞳にスバルが映るシーンもうヤバいですね……！ガーフが来ていましたが、オットーやラムはどうなってしまったんでしょう……。
感動的な後半でした……！
