シルバが、道連の審判をすることに…!
葉を応援する想いが強くなってきていたシルバに対し、公平をつらぬくことで、死んでいった十祭司の弔いになるのだと司祭長は言います。
そうして、シルバの一番の親友を殺した連の審判を務めることになりました。
友人を殺した相手の審判って難しよね。

連を目の前に、葉は「勝つ」と言います。
余裕たっぷりの葉は連の前でヘラヘラと笑い、連の気を逆なでしてしまいした。
葉の言動にイライラとしうる連はゴールデン中華三昧を繰り出します。葉は新たなオーバーソウルを出し連に一撃を食わらしますが、連は無傷です。
さらに、連は今までほとんど巫力を使わないで戦っていましたが、連がようやく本気を出します。
空中で葉を追い詰め、連は実体化した馬孫で葉を殴り飛ばし、葉のオーバーソウルを崩します…!
対戦相手からすると葉の態度はなかなかつらいよね。
真剣になれよ!って言っちゃう気持ちはわかるかも。
引き分け…!?

葉は傷つきますが、ファウスト戦で焦って負けてしまったことを学び、「無理はしない」という心持ちで連に立ち向かっていきます。
全力のオーバーソウルで戦う連に対し、葉は少量のオーバーソウルで何度もオーバーソウルを崩されながらも阿弥陀丸の助言を受けつつ連の攻撃をかわし反撃。
なかなか倒れない葉に対し、連は白馬に名馬の霊を降ろし、馬孫が一番力を発揮できる馬上戦を仕掛けます。
しかし、「温かな無から有を生み出す力」を持つ葉はパーフェクト中華三昧を防ぎますが、両者ともに巫力を使い切ってしまいました。
結果、両者引き分けとなり、大いなる意志の元、両者ともにシャーマンファイト予選突破が決まりました。
