前回は、いよいよみみみVS葵の選挙対決。
アピールは葵が先に行ったのですが、一気にみんなの興味を引き圧倒的な力の差を見せつけられます。
しかし、みみみも負けられず、葵と違う線(アクシデントに対応)で攻めるも最終的に負けてしまいます。
みみみは悔しがるかと思いきや特にそんなそぶりは見せませんでした。
しかし、内心無理しているのではと感じる部分がありました。

生徒会選挙が終わってから、どうもみみみの様子がおかしい。家では夜遅くまで勉強し、部活は朝から頑張り続けている。必要以上に無理しているようで、いつか体を壊してしまうんじゃないかと心配するたま。友崎もまた、選挙を共に戦った仲間として気になって仕方がない。人の心に敏感な風香は、みみみが無理をする原因は、葵にあるであろうことを察していた。友崎は意を決してみみみに話を聞くが、「葵に勝ちたいだけ」と言って笑うみみみ。その気持ちは、友崎にも痛いほどに理解できて、それゆえに何も言うことができなかった……。

前回、選挙で負けた葵に負けたみみみは、もう負けたくないという想いで一生懸命頑張ります。
勉強や運動などとにかく努力をこなして自分を追い詰めていきます。
ただ、たまと友崎はそんなみみみを見て危ないと思って友崎がみみみに声かけますが、みみみは「葵に負けたくない」という想いに負けてそのまま頑張れと言ってしまいます。
しかし、根本的な要因は葵が県大会でみみみの中学生を負かせたことで、始まったと話を聞きます。
ですが、実際にみみみが出した答えは、「葵を尊敬していていつの間にか負けたくない自分がいた」と告白します。
葵のことが好きなのに、葵に対して一番にならないと気が済まない自分がいることに気づき一度陸上部を退部しますが、たまのサポートもあり、再入部します。
今度はたまがみみみを救ったね

みみみは自身が無理していることはわかっていても、そのままやめてしまうと後悔すると辛い自主特訓を続けると友崎にいいます。
友崎も負ける辛さを知っているのか、そんなみみみの想いをわかったせいか止めることはしませんでした。

やっと、本当の想いを打ち明けたみみみをたまは抱きしめます。
たまにみみみに「たまの中で一番の馬鹿で納得しなさいといった」ことにはすごく感動しました。
そして、その後みみみは陸上部に再入部します。

葵に憧れ続けることが逆に自分の中に負の感情を生んでしまう事に気づいたみみみは一度、陸上部を退部したのはちょっとびっくりしました。
そして、その気持ちのおとしどころをたまのなかの一番の馬鹿にしたのはすごかったですね。
その後また陸上部に再入部していますし、雨降って地固まりましたね。
今後は、葵とみみみは上手くやっていけそうだね
